This study aimed to functionally characterize non-coding genomic regions associated with nucleotide-related compounds in chicken muscle using CRISPRa with dCas9-VPR. gRNAs were transfected into a dCas9-VPR DF-1 cell lines to target non-coding SNPs identified through a GWAS: rs316338889 (GW1), rs313523098 (GW2), and rs317345807 (GW3). Bulk RNA-seq was performed to profile transcriptomic changes resulting from the activation of each target region. This dataset provides valuable insights into the transcriptional regulatory potential of non-coding regions and their downstream effects on gene expression in chicken.
