Paul Gordan and Clebsch-Gordan: Working Editions and Source-Witnessed LaTeX

Start here: 00_CURRENT_Gordan_Vorlesungen_I-II_German_FirstPass_20260811.pdf is a single 455-page reader containing both volumes of Paul Gordan's Vorlesungen über Invariantentheorie. The two per-volume PDFs and compact buildable-TeX archives follow it. New milestone (2026-08-11). Band I (Determinanten) has 206 German fragments covering frozen source indices 15–220 and printed pages 1–201; its reader has 159 pages. Band II (Binäre Formen) has 362 German fragments covering source indices 15–376 and printed pages 1–360; its reader has 296 pages. Both assemble and compile in two passes. The release status and checksum manifest record the source scans, corpus fingerprints, collector results, build diagnostics, cold rebuild, and rendered QA. Scope boundary. This is a complete compiling first-pass German transcription of these two books. It is not a canonical or critical collation, not a bilingual edition, and not completion of Paul Gordan's author corpus. There are zero English fragments. Eighty-eight explicit uncertainty markers remain (38 in Band I and 50 in Band II), together with four textual figure or ornament stand-ins (three plus one). These are published visibly so later source replay can improve the witness without concealing the present state. The 45 predecessor files remain part of this version as provenance and as source-witnessed working packages for other Gordan/Clebsch-Gordan works. The new Vorlesungen files supersede the June statement that Band I stopped at page 28 and Band II had not started; they do not supersede unrelated Abelian, theta, Latin, or article material. Editorial method. Printed scan pixels control the German witness. Explicit uncertainties, source defects, and figure gaps are preserved rather than guessed. Important formulae and notation should still be checked against the named 600-ppi GDZ source scans.
