Water Data Online

Water Data Online provides free access to nationally consistent, current and historical water data (and related information) that is collected by the Bureau of Meteorology under the Water Regulations (2008). It allows users to view and download standardised data and reports. \r\n\r\nWatercourse level and discharge (Water Regulations, Category 1) time series data collected from approximately 3500 measurement stations across Australia is currently available on Water Data Online. This data has generally been supplied by lead water agencies.\r\n\r\nThe Bureau will continue to work to expand the number of water information categories and water monitoring stations presented. For more information refer to the Water Data Online information sheet \r\n\r\nThe time period over which data is available varies according to how long the stations have been operating. The period of record for some locations starts in the late 19th century. Water Data Online does not display near real time, or flood data. Water Data Online also contains historical data from some stations that are no longer being operated. Such data can provide valuable insight into environmental changes and help build a more comprehensive national picture of our water resources.

水数据在线平台（Water Data Online）免费提供由澳大利亚气象局（Bureau of Meteorology）依据《2008年水管理条例》（Water Regulations (2008)）收集的全国统一的现行与历史水文数据（及相关信息）的访问权限，支持用户查看并下载标准化数据与报告。

目前，水数据在线平台已收录澳大利亚境内约3500个监测站点采集的河道水位与流量（《水管理条例》第一类）时间序列数据，此类数据通常由主要水务机构提供。

澳大利亚气象局将持续推进拓展平台收录的水文信息类别与水文监测站点数量。如需了解更多信息，请参阅《水数据在线平台说明手册》（Water Data Online information sheet）。

数据可用的时间跨度取决于各监测站点的运行时长，部分站点的记录周期可追溯至19世纪末期。水数据在线平台不提供近实时数据与洪水数据，同时还收录了部分已停止运行站点的历史数据。此类数据可为环境变化研究提供宝贵参考，助力构建更为全面的全国水资源图景。
