Data for: Pitfalls of NMDA receptor modulation by neuroactive steroids

Data set contains data from a battery of tests - open field, elevated plus maze, passive avoidance, prepulse inhibition and carousel maze experiment. We evaluated antipsychotic potential of two neuroactive steroids in an animal model of schizophrenia induced by systemic MK-801 application. Neuroactive steroid differed from each other by their effect on NMDA receptors. PA-Glu potentiated while MS-249 inhibited NMDA receptors.
