Raw Experimental Data for “Strategic Heterogeneity and the Governance of Commons: Empirical Strategy Classification and Agent-Based Simulation”.

This dataset contains the raw experimental data collected in a lab-in-the-field CPR experiment conducted with 85 small-scale benthic fishers in Chile. The data was used to classify individual strategies and calibrate an agent-based model (ABM) for the manuscript Strategic Heterogeneity and the Governance of Commons. Key variables include:

ID: Unique observation identifier

Regime: Experimental condition (Open Access or Regulated)

Cove: Location/fishing community

Round: Game round (1 to 20)

Subject.x: Subject ID

Extraction: Individual extraction level

Session.x: Session ID

Performance.x: Typer of user group (High-performance, Low-performance, Non-unonized)

Norm_compliance: Normalized compliance of subject i in round t

comp_j: Average compliance of peers (j ≠ i) in round t−1

A1res, A2res, B1res, B2res: Parameters from constrained least squares estimation of linear conditional contribution profiles

A1resstderr, …, B2resstderr: Associated standard errors

sigma_residual: Residual standard error from individual regressions

Strategy_open_access, Strategy_regulated: Assigned strategy type under each condition (UC, CC, NC, FR)

The dataset serves as the empirical foundation for classifying behavioral strategies and simulating group-level outcomes under varying strategic compositions using an ABM framework.
