The Potential Vocabulary Size (PVS) score is a modified version of the TTR (Type Token Ratio), and as such, also corresponds to an individual’s vocabulary size. As sampling size can introduce bias into the TTR, numerous variations have been proposed to replace the conventional indicator.We analyzed the PVS score of each individual, which was calculated using the extrapolation of the number of types in their narrative samples.PVS cannot be estimated directly. However, there is a simulation method to assume the size of vocabulary as follows: Assuming a PVS value is N, we can obtain the word frequency starting from the rank 1, where f(1,N) to the rank N, where f(N,N). The token would be Σe when f (1). Above brings us a set of type, token, and PVS. This data set consists of a set of Type, Token and PVS.<br>

潜在词汇量(Potential Vocabulary Size, PVS)得分是对类型-标记比(Type Token Ratio, TTR)的改进形式,因此同样可用于表征个体的词汇量水平。由于采样规模会对TTR引入偏差,学界已提出多种改进方案以替代传统的类型-标记比指标。 本研究针对每个个体的PVS得分进行了分析,该得分通过对其叙事样本中的类型(Type)数量进行外推计算得到。PVS无法直接估算,但可通过下述模拟方法推导词汇量规模:假设某一个体的PVS值为N,则可得到从第1级至第N级的词频,即f(1,N)到f(N,N)。总标记数(Token)可表示为Σe,即f(1)的求和。上述过程可得到一组类型、标记与PVS数值。 本数据集即由类型、标记与PVS的集合所构成。
