This dataset is developed to analyze the threshold dilution multiple data of waste gas from water treatment filter membrane production, combined with chemical composition analysis results, to identify and quantify the main malodorous substances in such waste gas, clarify their specific chemical compositions and concentrations, and evaluate their specific contribution ratios to the overall perceived malodor intensity. The derived threshold dilution multiples of the main malodorous substances from water treatment filter membrane production are applied to select targeted pollution control processes and deodorization schemes. (1) Data Collection: Collect various data including components and concentrations of malodorous substance sources in waste gas generated during water treatment filter membrane production. (2) Data Processing: Analyze the collected data to calculate the threshold dilution multiple of the corresponding substances via the following formula: Threshold dilution multiple = 22.4 × substance concentration / (olfactory threshold × molecular weight). (3) Data Application: The threshold dilution multiple is the primary indicator reflecting the contribution of malodorous substances. This indicator quantifies the multiple of clean air needed to dilute a malodorous sample until no noticeable odor is detected, and is utilized to analyze and identify the main sources and components of waste gas malodorous substances. By integrating chemical composition analysis results and threshold dilution multiple data, this work identifies the main sources, components of waste gas malodorous substances and their contributions to the overall malodor intensity, providing a scientific basis for formulating targeted waste gas malodor control strategies.
