Identification of microRNA targets from the stems of three Dendrobium species--degradome-seq

In this study, we performed high-throughput degradome sequencing to identify the microRNA (miRNA) targets from the stems of three Dendrobium species. Firstly, the de novo assembled transcripts were subject to target prediction based on the lists of miRNAs discovered from the three Dendrobium species. Then, the degradome-seq data was used to validate the predicted miRNA--target pairs by using target plots (t-plots).
