RNAseq expression change through aging in D. melanogaster A4 strain male heads. Drosophila melanogaster isolate:A4

We aged a large cohort of male flies from a single inbred strain (A4) of Drosophila melanogaster, periodically took samples of the heads of animals through the aging process, isolated RNA, and generated mRNA-seq libraries. Following sequencing, assembly, and differential expression analysis we identified >6000 genes changing in expression through aging. In subsequent analyses we identified clusters of genes with similar expression trajectories through time, and executed various gene/pathway enrichment analyses to explore these changes, finding known and novel expression changes.
