Electricity Distribution Capacity

Electricity Distribution Capacity are indicated by means of total transformer capacity and firm capacity in the case of City of Cape Town main substation footprints. Electricity Distribution Capacity are indicated by means of total and firm MV network capacity in the case of 11kV intake points from Eskom. The feature class also indicates the amount of spare panels at each of the City of Cape Town main substation footprints. For each supply area the following attributes (among others) are provided: MS_Name: The name of the City’s main substation or 11kV intake point supply area. Voltage_kV: The voltage level of the supply area in the unit of kiloVolt. NumSpreBkr: The total number of spare breakers at the 11kV connection point. Note that this attribute is also the sum of SprebkrBBA, SprebkrBBB and SprebkrBBC. SprebkrBBA: The number of spare breakers on Busbar A. SprebkrBBB: The number of spare breakers on Busbar B. SprebkrBBC: The number of spare breakers on Busbar C. Instld_MVA: The installed network capacity in unit of MVA. FirmCapMVA: The theoretical firm network capacity in unit of MVA.
