Dataset on the Policy Implementation of Islamic Education in Indonesia

This article presents data collected through in-depth interviews conducted in Indonesia, aiming to unveil the priorities of problems, solutions, and strategies in implementing Islamic education policy in Indonesia. A total of 15 respondents comprises five from the Ministry of Religious Affairs as regulators, five from Islamic education institutions, and five from experts in Islamic education in Indonesia. Prior to the in-depth interview, a series of FGD (Focus Group Discussion) and validation were conducted with 40 questions to be asked during the in-depth interview.Using a Likert Scale from 1-9, every respondent was asked to choose a priority of cluster ( problems, solution, and strategy). Every cluster was then decomposed into a sub-cluster with chosen priority. Demographic data on the respondents were collected directly from every respondent. However, only certain information can be disclosed due to the respective consent of respondents. ANP (Analytical Network Process) was employed to run the output of the in-depth interview, and the geometric mean was used to resolve the issue of inconsistency among the respondents. The dataset presented in this article shows the priority of every cluster and sub-cluster and is analyzed based on the output of Geometric means. The data provided in this article offers valuable insights and information for policymakers in Indonesia and researchers and Islamic education institutions.  The data enables policymakers to achieve a quick win in terms of prioritizing strategy execution. This dataset can be used as a guideline for all relevant stakeholders in Indonesia to produce better quality of Islamic education in the country.
