MODIS is an important sensor carried on the Terra and Aqua satellites. As the only satellite-borne instrument aboard these satellites, it broadcasts real-time observation data directly worldwide via the X-band, and allows free reception and unencumbered use of the acquired data. MYD17A2 is a Land Surface Level 3 standard data product, specifically a global 1-kilometer resolution 8-day composite product of Gross Primary Productivity (GPP).
