Community of macrocrustaceans from the Mexican sandy beaches of the Gulf of México and Caribbean Sea collected by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

These data represent the composition of macrocrustaceans from 15 sandy beaches of the Mexican Atlantic. The samples were collected with a corer using three different sampling designs, which varied in number of cores (4, 6) and beach zones (supratidal, intertidal and subtidal). All samples were sieved (500 microns) and the organisms obtained were identified to the lowest possible taxonomic level with the help of taxonomic keys. The crustaceans collected belong to the orders Peracarida and Decapoda.

本数据集收录墨西哥大西洋沿岸15处砂质海滩的大型甲壳动物（macrocrustaceans）群落组成数据。样本通过取芯器（corer）采集，共采用三种不同采样设计，其差异体现在取芯数量（4个、6个）及采样海滩区域（潮上带、潮间带与潮下带）两个维度。所有样本均经500微米孔径筛网过筛，所获生物依托分类学检索表鉴定至最低可行分类阶元。本次采集的甲壳动物分属囊虾总目（Peracarida）与十足目（Decapoda）。
