In this study we quantified the culturable sampling bias of bacteria when using several bacterial media, by comparing the 16S amplicon diversity i) of rice roots after direct DNA extraction; ii) from the same samples, after culture of bacteria on a diversity of 5 media and extract DNA from the culturing plates.
