Interview Transcripts and Committee List: Local Climate Governance in Southeastern Brazil

This dataset contains the full, anonymized transcripts of 31 semi-structured interviews conducted in 2023 with members of Permanent Environmental Committees (Comissões Permanentes de Meio Ambiente) in municipalities located within the Piracicaba, Capivari, and Jundiaí (PCJ) river basins in Southeastern Brazil. Each transcript includes standardized metadata for age, gender, color, and political orientation, following Brazilian demographic classifications. The dataset also includes a tabular list of all municipal environmental committees represented in the study. The interviews were conducted in Brazilian Portuguese and are provided in their original language. All transcripts have been anonymized to ensure participant confidentiality, and participants consented to data use for academic and public dissemination purposes. These data support qualitative analysis of climate policy discourses, local environmental governance, and stakeholder perspectives in the Global South.
