Mainz Cuneiform Benchmark Dataset (MaiCuBeDa)

This dataset is primarily sourced from the Hilprecht Collection, focusing on phonetic transcription and symbol detection for cuneiform scripts, although annotations for most of its images are incomplete. To facilitate symbol detection, the dataset's annotations were completed by mapping the annotations onto the images using the Cuneur Transformer tool. The task of this dataset is symbol detection within cuneiform scripts.
