i.To explore the gene transcripts of phytomedicinals in Plumbago zeylanica through de novo transcriptomics approach.ii.Transcriptome analysis using gene ontology (GO), enzyme commission (EC) and kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes (KEGG) databases to predict all the known gene transcripts involved in biosynthesis of secondary metabolites.iii.To identify the expression profiles of metabolite biosynthetic genes of leaf and root transcriptome in deciphering the difference in pharmacological activity for cancer and neudegenerative disorders.
