With a forward by F Norton Manning. This copy was made by the State Library of New South Wales where the original book is held. The ten lectures were given by the Assistant Medical Officer at the Parramatta Hospital for the Insane. They provide an early insight into the expectations and beliefs about the care of what was called 'insanity' in nineteenth century Australia. This often included chronic health conditions such as epilepsy.
