preparation of recombinant forms of proteins of Ralstonia solanacearum

Endogluconase (egl) gene product produces endoglucanases having hydrolase activity, hydrolyzing O-glycosyl compounds such as cellulose of plant cell wall helping the pathogen in invasion. Gene encoding the Egl protein were identified and retrieved from bioinformatics tool NCBI. Gene was cloned in pQE-30 vector, transformed and expressed in E.coli strain M15. Recombinant protein was then affinity purified using FPLC via Ni-NTA column.
