Infrared orthophotography 2023 of the Metropolis of Lyon

Color orthophotography with infrared band (RVBI) in Lambert-93 and CC46 projection on the Metropolis of Lyon (593 km ²) at the resolution of 5 cm and with a planimetric accuracy of 10 cm. The image is made available in Cloud-Optimized GeoTIFF (COG) format with JPEG compression (Q = 50). It takes the form of false-colour infrared orthorectified aerial orthophotography with a maximum cant angle (topographic inclination) of 30%. In the central area, the generation of a ‘true’ orthophotography, carried out by precise rescaling of images on a corrected Digital Terrain Model (DTM), makes it possible to remove the geometric distortions induced by the canopies and guarantees a metrically faithful restitution of the surfaces. The aerial shooting was carried out by GEOFIT, in 2 steps: * between July and August 2023, use of Vexcel UltraCam Osprey 4.1 and Vexcel Ultracam Eagle Mark M3 cameras - 80mm focal length (nadir) * in September 2024 on the Mont Verdun sector, use of the Vexcel UltraCam Eagle M3 camera - 120 mm focal length (nadir) This operation was co-financed by the European Union under the ERDF programme.
