Replication Data for: Dissecting the host - malaria parasite relationship during infancy: Plasmodium falciparum var gene expression is modified during the first year of life

The data contains var gene expression data of P. falciparum clinical isolates from children aged 0-167 months. The data also contains antibody levels to the surface of P. falciparum infected erythrocytes each child had when the sample was taken. The variable bradno= sample id, Veh= var expression homogeneity, anti-IE=antibodies to infected erythrocytes, cys2=expressed sequence tags containing 2 cysteines. Tu at the end of the variables from column 6 stand for arbitrary transcript unit and tu1 is derived from delta ct and tu4 is derived from deltadelta ct as described in the methods.

本数据集包含采集自0至167月龄儿童的恶性疟原虫（Plasmodium falciparum）临床分离株的var基因表达数据，同时还收录了样本采集时每名儿童体内针对恶性疟原虫感染红细胞表面的抗体水平数据。数据集内各变量的定义如下：bradno为样本编号，Veh代表var基因表达均一性，anti-IE指代感染红细胞抗体，cys2表示包含2个半胱氨酸的表达序列标签。第6列及后续变量末尾的“Tu”代表任意转录本单元；其中tu1由ΔCt值计算得到，tu4则由ΔΔCt值计算得到，具体计算方式详见研究方法部分。
