Construction and practice of an online-offline blended ideological and political education system in the Biochemistry curriculum

Implementing ideological and political education in the Biochemistry curriculum holds significant importance for fulfilling the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education. Based on existing literature, this study systematically reviews relevant national policy documents, proposes guiding principles, teaching philosophies, instructional objectives, implementation strategies and methods for integrating ideological and political education into the Biochemistry course. It also conducts in-depth exploration of ideological and political elements and preliminarily establishes a comprehensive case database covering all teaching content. On this basis, a case-based online-offline blended ideological and political teaching system for the Biochemistry course has been developed. Practical implementation and course evaluations based on student feedback indicate that this teaching system achieves its intended instructional objectives, providing valuable reference and insights for ideological and political education in Biochemistry courses at medical universities.
