二氧化硫是最常见、最简单的硫氧化物,大气主要污染物之一。在大气中,二氧化硫会氧化而成硫酸雾或硫酸盐气溶胶,是环境酸化的重要前驱物。二氧化硫与大气中的烟尘有协同作用,当大气中二氧化硫浓度为0.21ppm,烟尘浓度大于0.3mg/L,可使呼吸道疾病发病率增高,慢性病患者的病情迅速恶化。中国气象监测站点监测获取的SO2浓度数据,为大气物理、大气化学、环境遥感等相关学科领域的研究人员提供SO2浓度的站点监测数据。数据时间范围在2014年-2015年,包括中国大陆地区1524个站点数据。

Sulfur dioxide (SO2), the most common and simplest sulfur oxide, is one of the major atmospheric pollutants. In the atmosphere, sulfur dioxide oxidizes to form sulfuric acid fog or sulfate aerosols, serving as an important precursor to environmental acidification. Sulfur dioxide has a synergistic effect with atmospheric soot. When the atmospheric concentration of sulfur dioxide reaches 0.21 ppm and the soot concentration exceeds 0.3 mg/L, the incidence of respiratory diseases increases and the conditions of chronic disease patients deteriorate rapidly. The SO2 concentration data monitored by China's meteorological monitoring stations provides station-based monitoring data of SO2 concentrations for researchers in relevant disciplines including atmospheric physics, atmospheric chemistry, and environmental remote sensing. The dataset covers the time period from 2014 to 2015, and includes data from 1,524 monitoring stations across mainland China.
