Note - these data should be used with caution. The chief investigator for the dataset has indicated that a better quality dataset exists, but the AADC have been unable to attain it for archive.Matlab files containing raw data collected using the program "HC2S3snowwind.CR1" running on Campbell Scientific CR1000 dataloggers. Datalogger "C" was used during all ice stations. On the 8th of October a second mast and logger ("A") were installed on what became the final day of Ice Station 4, and both loggers were deployed at stations 6 and 7, with "C" containing the longer records for each station as it was always installed first and (conditions permitting) left out longer. The sensors on these masts consist of:RM Young "Wind Sentry" Vane and Anemometer set (on top of each mast), no serial numbersRotronics HC2S3 temperature and relative humidity sensors with standard polyethylene filters Upper sensor, mast "C": s/n 60837541Lower sensor, mast "C": s/n 60837536Upper sensor, mast "A": s/n 60837468Lower sensor, mast "A": s/n 60834204RM Young "Wind Sentry" anemometers (without vane) at 3 additional elevations on each mastWenglor YHO3NCT8 photoelectric sensors at 4 heights on each mast. The upper sensor and the third sensor from the top were oriented facing up, while the others faced down. 3. 每根桅杆额外增设3个高度层的RM Young“Wind Sentry”风速传感器(不含风向叶片);
4. 每根桅杆搭载4个高度的Wenglor YHO3NCT8光电传感器:其中上层传感器与自上而下第三个传感器朝上安装,其余传感器朝下安装。该批次传感器中,上层3个为2012年采购自新建东欧工厂的产品,而每根桅杆的最低层传感器则为2007年采购批次产品,产自Wenglor德国工厂,并经过雪地环境下的全面性能测试。
本.mat格式文件包含以下变量及其对应单位:
1. Textdates:CSI格式化日期,采用协调世界时(UTC),但冰站2除外——该站数据意外采用了UTC+12时区;
2. Datenm:Matlab的datenumber格式时间戳,除冰站2采用UTC+12时区外,其余均为UTC时间;
3. Battvolt:电池电压;
4. Wptemp:接线盘热敏电阻温度,单位为摄氏度(℃);
5. Temp 1:约50cm高度处的通风式HC2S3 Rotronics温湿度传感器采集的空气温度,单位为℃;
6. RH1:约50cm高度处的通风式HC2S3 Rotronics传感器采集的相对湿度(以水为参比),单位为%;
7. Temp 2:约200cm高度处的通风式HC2S3 Rotronics传感器采集的空气温度,单位为℃;

9. Snow1:约10cm高度处每10秒间隔内的雪粒计数;

13. Wind1:约250cm高度处10秒间隔内的平均风速,单位为米每秒(m/s);
14. Wind1max:约250cm高度处10秒间隔内的最大风速,单位为m/s;
15. Wind2:约100cm高度处10秒间隔内的平均风速,单位为m/s;
16. Wind2max:约100cm高度处10秒间隔内的最大风速,单位为m/s;
17. Wind3:约120cm高度处10秒间隔内的平均风速,单位为m/s;
18. Wind3max:约120cm高度处10秒间隔内的最大风速,单位为m/s;
19. Wind4:约50cm高度处10秒间隔内的平均风速,单位为m/s;
