资源简介:
The worldwide rise of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) has generated great concern. Some S. aureus isolates recovered from Argentinian children with the genetic cystic fibrosis (CF) belong to the ST30âSCCmec IV and ST5-SCCmec IV clones, which are found in community-acquired invasive infections in Argentina. However, CF isolates present a higher frequency of multiresistance. To search for antibiotic resistance genetic determinants, we are sequencing and comparing the genomes of ST30âSCCmec IV and ST5-SCCmec IV CF sputum sequential isolates that have changed their resistance to antibiotics over time. This project will contribute to the understanding of the evolution of S. aureus antibiotic resistance in Argentinians living with CF.
