资源简介:

Overview This feature service presents American Community Survey estimates about children living with parents and the labor force status of those parents. It provides a national set of polygon layers for states, counties, and census tracts, supporting analysis of how children are distributed across family living arrangements and parental labor force participation. Feature Layers State: State-level polygons with ACS counts and percentages describing children under 18 living with at least one parent, including groups for children under 6 and ages 6 to 17, as well as calculated measures for children whose available residential parents are in the labor force or not in the labor force. County: County-level polygons with the same family and parental labor force indicators, along with state context for each county. Tract: Census tract polygons with the same ACS indicators at local neighborhood scale, including state and county context for each tract. Geographic Coverage The service covers the United States at state, county, and census tract levels. The layers are suited for comparing family composition and parental employment patterns across multiple geographic scales. Use Cases Study the share of children living with parents whose residential adults are in the labor force. Compare family and employment conditions across states, counties, and neighborhoods. Support demographic, social, and workforce analyses using ACS estimates. Build thematic maps and reports on children, households, and parental labor force participation.
