Digital Archive from a Geophysical Survey at Lower Shiplake, Oxfordshire, June 2025

This collection comprises a vector drawing, geophysics data, and gray-scale images of processed magnetometry data from a magnetometer survey at Lower Shiplake, Oxfordshire. The survey was carried out by SUMO Services in June 2025. The magnetometer survey has not recorded any magnetic responses that could be interpreted as being of definite archaeological interest, however, uncertain responses and zones of magnetic disturbance in Area 2 may mark the locations of buildings foundations and spreads of demolition debris. These anomalies may be associated with a 19th icehouse which is thought to have been located within the site. They may also be associated with brickworks that are known to have taken place within the vicinity. Numerous other uncertain anomalies have been detected which have probably been caused by natural or agricultural processes.
