Analyzing the gut microbiomes of patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN)

A 16S rRNA (V4-V5) amplicon study comparing the gut microbiomes of patients with MPN with healthy controls. MPN is a hematologic malignancy with a hallmark feature of chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation may precede the development of MPN and play a critical role in disease initiation. We investigated how the microbiome may be associated with the chronic inflammation seen in these patients.
