AROME_WMED

AROME_WMED is a version of the operational AROME model covering the western Mediterranean basin. An anlysis is produced every 3 hours (00, 03, 06, 09, 12, 15, 18 UTC); a +48hr range forecast is produced on 00UTC slot.<br />
A documentation to decode the AROME_WMED GRIB format with PYTHON is provided below.<br />

Observing strategy: <br />
SOP1/SOP2 operational forecasting for the HyMeX campaign.<br />
<br />
Fields are available in GRIB or NETCDF format. <br />
<br />
1) GRIB: classical atmospheric fields are available on Pressure (1000,950,925,900,850,800,700,600,500,400,300,250,200,150,100) and some on height levels (20,50,100,250,500,750,1000,1250,1500,2000,2500,3000m).<br />
<br />
2) NETCDF: the following fields are available:<br />
Mean sea level pressure, T2m, V10m, Q2m, solar flux, LW flux, sensible heat flux, latent heat flux, wind stress, 1hr cumulated rainfall, land sea mask.

AROME_WMED是业务化AROME模式的衍生版本，覆盖西地中海盆地。该数据集每3小时生成一次分析场，生成时点为协调世界时（UTC）00、03、06、09、12、15、18时；在协调世界时（UTC）00时次生成时效长达48小时的预报产品。
下文提供了基于Python解码AROME_WMED的GRIB格式数据的文档。

观测方案：
针对HyMeX试验的SOP1/SOP2业务预报方案。

数据场可采用GRIB或NETCDF格式获取。

1) GRIB格式：经典大气物理量场可在气压层（1000、950、925、900、850、800、700、600、500、400、300、250、200、150、100 hPa）上获取，部分物理量场可在高度层（20、50、100、250、500、750、1000、1250、1500、2000、2500、3000 m）上获取。

2) NETCDF格式：可获取以下物理量场：海平面平均气压、T2m（2米气温）、V10m（10米纬向风速）、Q2m（2米比湿）、太阳短波辐射通量、长波辐射通量、感热通量、潜热通量、风应力、逐小时累积降水量、海陆掩模。
