Technological advancement in the twenty-first century has become a decisive factor shaping the evolution of human society. Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, biotechnology, nanotechnology and the Internet of Things (IoT) are creating unprecedented transformations across healthcare, education, business, communication and governance. These innovations provide opportunities to improve efficiency, transparency and inclusivity, yet they simultaneously generate serious ethical, social and economic challenges. Artificial intelligence driven automation has improved productivity but has also triggered fears of job displacement, while digitalization has expanded access to knowledge but raised concerns over data privacy and cybersecurity.
