Woody Allen is a prolific American director, well known for his romantic comedies as well as his distinctively neurotic protagonists. He has been nominated for twenty-four Academy Awards, winning four times, three times for Best Original Screenplay, once for Direction. His films include Bananas (1971), Annie Hall (1977), Manhattan (1979), Hannah and Her Sisters (1986), Husbands and Wives (1992), Match Point (2005) and Midnight in Paris (2011).
