Detergent-solubilized microsomal fractions were used for performing a standard GALT assay using [AO]7 as the peptide substrate acceptor and UDP-[14C]Gal as the sugar donor, and AGPs were extracted, precipitated by β-Yariv reagent, and quantified from 14-d-old plants. The values are averages of at least two independent experiments from two biological replicates.
