This dataset provides monthly mean air pressure data at a 1 km resolution across China, covering the period from January to December 2013. The data is developed based on monthly mean station-level air pressure records from 824 national benchmark and basic meteorological stations in China for January to December 2013. After rigorous quality control and screening, a 1 km resolution national topographic digital elevation model (DEM) was utilized as a covariate, and the thin plate spline (TPS) method integrated in ANUSPLIN software was applied for spatial interpolation to generate monthly grid data with a horizontal resolution of 1 km × 1 km over China's land areas for the same period. For convenient storage, all data are stored in int16 format, with a unit of 0.1 hPa. Each annual dataset contains 12 data files, which are named by combining the year and month; for instance, 20131 represents the data for January 2013. The spatial scope of this dataset covers the main land territories of China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions), excluding areas such as the South China Sea Islands and reefs.
