Introducing educational technology in a public nursing college in Gauteng Province

Phase 1, data is related to a survey that was conducted with nurse educators to assess the use of technology in a public nursing college in Gauteng Province, South Africa. Quantitative data analysis was done using the SPSS, 26. The reflection was conducted with nurse educators to analyse and discuss the results of the survey. Phase 2, consisted of a nominal group technique conducted with nurse educators to plan for the use of technology in a public nursing college. From the different educational technologies discussed, nurse educators voted for a podcast. An expert trainer was employed to train nurse educators on podcast/podcasting. Nurse educators developed a podcast training module. Phase 3, entailed a survey conducted with student nurses to evaluate their satisfaction with the podcast training module that was developed by nurse educators. Quantitative data analysis was also done using the SPSS, 26. The reflection was conducted with nurse educators to further analyse and have a dialogue on the results of the survey conducted with the students. Both the student nurses and educators were satisfied with the educational technology (podcast).

本数据集第一阶段的数据源自针对南非豪登省一所公立护理学院的护理教育者开展的教育技术应用现状调查，采用SPSS 26完成定量数据分析；随后组织护理教育者开展反思研讨，以分析并讨论本次调查的结果。第二阶段采用名义小组技术（Nominal Group Technique），组织护理教育者针对该公立护理学院的教育技术应用规划展开研讨。经对多款教育技术进行讨论后，护理教育者投票选定播客（podcast）作为应用方向；随后聘请专业培训师，为护理教育者开展播客制作相关培训，护理教育者据此开发了一套播客培训模块。第三阶段面向护理专业学生开展调查，以评估其对护理教育者开发的播客培训模块的满意度，同样采用SPSS 26完成定量数据分析；随后组织护理教育者开展反思研讨，以进一步分析并探讨本次学生调查的结果。最终，护理专业学生与护理教育者均对该教育技术（播客）表示满意。
