The microbial communities in the reproductive tract play a vital role in influencing mammals' health and reproductive outcomes. The aim of the study was to characterize the microbial communities in the reproductive tract of dairy cows. Swab samples were collected using a double-guarded swab in an acceptable method from Holstein-Friesian females. Following DNA extraction, genomic DNA was subjected to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification using the 515F and 806R primers, targeting the V4 hypervariable region of the 16S rRNA gene. Prepared libraries were sequenced on the Illumina MiSeq platform using the V2 reagent kit.
