Molecular characterization of diapause inhibiting factor in race KS-10 of silkworm Bombyx mori L

Study of the Transcriptome analysis for molecular characterization of Id (Inhibitor of Diapause) gene in the silkworm race KS-10. Three pure races viz., PM, CSR2 and KS-10 were reared under standard rearing conditions in three replicates. From the pure races, Hybrid layings of CSR2 x KS-10 and PM x KS-10 were prepared. The female moths of the hybrids and pure races were allowed to lay eggs. Eggs of the age of 0-22 hrs were collected. Layings of hybrids CSR2 x KS-10 and PM x KS-10 and pure races PM, CSR2 and KS-10 were provided for molecular characterization.
