Luigi Bianchi: Modern LaTeX Working Editions and Source-Intake Witnesses

Dedicated Luigi Bianchi author/work record. The record contains a complete package-audited modern working edition of Lezioni di geometria differenziale, Volume I, plus source-intake and now high-quality working-edition material for Lezioni sulla teoria dei gruppi continui finiti di trasformazioni. Anno 1902-1903 (A2). Volume I status. Italian source transcription and corrected English translation reading streams are complete through source pdfpages 001-543, with source-scan witness, TeX, ledgers, render checks, and the 2026-06-09 auditfix package. The auditfix repairs a control-character formula defect, restores source-consistent \sen notation, restores the section 186 displayed formula, and repairs the section 189 compression defect before Poincare formula (17). This remains a package-audited working edition, not a final critical edition. A2 high-quality branch added in this version. This version adds reader-facing English and Italian PDFs plus Bianchi_A2_HQ_p0001_0028_IT_EN_20260609.zip. The HQ branch covers printed title/index material and the handwritten body through Chapter I sections 1-2: source pages 0020-0028, autograph manuscript pages 1-9. It stops at the natural end of section 2; source page 0029 / autograph manuscript page 10 begins section 3 and is the next continuation point. A2 correction status. The HQ witness supersedes the earlier low-detail source-intake caveat for this initial range: manuscript pages 2 and 3 are present in the high-quality witness, so the earlier lacuna marker is removed for pages covered here. The HQ branch also corrects the section 2 notation: the parameter count is consistently r, with the number of independent coefficient-functions denoted s and s \le r. The previous Bianchi_A2_witness_p0001_0060_IT_EN_20260609.zip remains in the record as low-detail source-intake/provenance and not as the promoted transcription authority. A2 caveat. A2 is not complete. The HQ branch covers 28 of 731 source pages, about 3.83 percent of the available source. OCR and image-analysis outputs in the package are witness/locator/check layers only; the promoted body transcription was read visually from the high-quality source images and should still be checked against the scans for citation-critical use.
