DATASET: A Red-billed Tropicbird (Phaethon aethereus) chick ingests a piece of wire on San Pedro Mártir Island, México.

The following datasets allow for the replication of the analyses performed in the scientific article "Wire ingestion by a Red-billed Tropicbird Phaethon aethereus chick on San Pedro Mártir Island, Mexico" published in the journal Marine Ornithology 53(1): 75-82. The file Data_RBTR.csv consists of 32 columns containing information on the prey families consumed by each individual analyzed in this study. The file RBTR_Diet_long.csv consists of 3 columns and represents a reshaped version of the data from Data_RBTR.csv, structured to facilitate the corresponding statistical analyses. The file SPM21_NI_C20.csv contains the tracking data for the female bird fitted with the GPS device. This file consists of 15 columns with information identifying the sampled individual, as well as the latitude, longitude, altitude, temperature, and flight speed for each recorded point. The file SPM21_NI_C20_metrics.csv contains the same base information as SPM21_NI_C20.csv but includes 2 additional columns that are essential for performing the individual's foraging metrics analyses.
