Site Data from an Archaeological Excavation at Reach Road, Burwell, Cambridgeshire, April - May 2024

This collection comprises images, site records, reports, spreadsheet, and GIS data from an archaeological excavation at land off Reach Road, Burwell, Cambridgeshire. Albion Archaeology was commissioned to undertake two open-area excavations totalling c. 0.1ha on either side of the 2016-17 area, which were undertaken between 29th April and 16th May 2024. They revealed a continuation of the Roman and Medieval archaeological remains previously identified, with the small pottery assemblage suggesting a main focus of activity broadly dating from the 12th to 14th centuries.
