VEC Results for 2014 Whittlesea City Council countback, North Ward

Countbacks occur for local councils when a casual vacancy is to be filled in a multi-councillor ward or unsubdivided municipality. In a countback, votes for the vacating councillor from the last election are redistributed to unsuccessful candidates according to the voters' preferences. For each countback a report is generated for the distribution of these preferences

当多议员选区或无分区自治市需填补临时议员空缺时，地方议会需启动补缺重计（Countbacks）程序。在该补缺重计流程中，需依据选民的偏好排序，将上届选举中离任议员所获得的选票重新分配给未当选候选人。针对每一轮补缺重计，均会生成一份关于上述偏好分配情况的报告。
