Mixture of neonicotinoid and fungicide affects foraging activity of honeybees

The effect of fungicides, insecticides and their mixture on the flight activity of honeybees was investigated. The bees were tagged with RFID chips to measure their flight activity over their entire lifespan. It was found that the combination of neonicotinoid (insecticide) and SBI fungicide led to a synergistic effect on flight activity, while the mixture of neonicotinoid and non-SBI fungicide caused no effects.
