IndSoilSpec-Lab: A National-Scale Soil Nutrient Dataset for India from Soil Health Card Web Map Services
收藏资源简介:
IndSoilSpec-Lab is a national-scale soil nutrient dataset for India, extracted from the Government of India Soil Health Card (SHC) Web Map Service. It comprises 345,288 spatially referenced soil samples with measurements of 12 soil properties (pH, electrical conductivity, organic carbon, and available N, P, K, S, Zn, B, Fe, Mn, Cu), covering 28 states and 5 union territories and 737 districts, across six SHC survey cycles (2015–17 to 2025–26). Data were extracted using standard OGC Web Map Service operations (GetCapabilities, GetFeatureInfo), matched to Survey of India district boundaries, and assembled into a single deduplicated national dataset using only free, open-source software. Coordinates are query-window centroids (WGS84), not GPS points; maximum positional uncertainty is approximately 7.8 km. Original measurement values are preserved, including a small proportion (~0.14%) of physically implausible values, so that users may apply their own quality screening. This archive contains the master dataset (india_master.csv, 26 columns), per-state CSV subsets, the WMS layer catalogue, a full column dictionary, the district-matching audit, and run metadata. The complete extraction pipeline is available at https://github.com/khushbuphd504-hue/IndSoilSpec-Lab. Extracted 7–9 July 2026. The SHC portal is a live service; re-extraction at a later date will not necessarily reproduce this snapshot exactly.
