From 1981 to 1988, multi-location field trials were carried out across 5 cities and 17 counties in Liaoning Province, covering 219 seeding zones and a total area of 3.18 million mu. The basic principles of aerial seeding afforestation of Chinese pine (Pinus tabuliformis) in rocky mountainous areas were systematically revealed through these trials, with the seedling establishment area rate of aerial seeding reaching 49.38%. This work made notable contributions to accelerating afforestation and greening in rocky mountainous regions. Main technical aspects:
