Data for: Preservation protocol for dimethylsulfoniopropionate and dimethylsulfoxide analysis in plant material of the Mediterranean seagrass Posidonia oceanica, and re-evaluation of dimethylsulfoniopropionate leaf content

Dimethylsulfoniopropionate (DMSP) and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) leaf content of Posidonia oceanica in samples preserved with three treatments: oven dried at 60°C for 24h, frozen at -20°C, and frozen-in-ice and kept at -20°C. The DMSP content was analyzed by proxy as dimethylsulfide (DMS) by gas chromatography after alkaline cleavage at room-temperature.

本数据集包含经三种保存处理的大洋海神草（Posidonia oceanica）叶片中的二甲基巯基丙酸内盐（Dimethylsulfoniopropionate, DMSP）与二甲基亚砜（Dimethylsulfoxide, DMSO）含量，三种保存方式分别为：60℃烘干24小时、-20℃冷冻，以及冰封后置于-20℃保存。其中，二甲基巯基丙酸内盐的含量通过室温下碱性裂解，以二甲基硫（Dimethylsulfide, DMS）作为代用指标，采用气相色谱法进行分析测定。
