Mothra Benthic and Resistivity Sensors Deployed 2016-06-19

The OceanEngUW BARS 01 was deployed on 2016-06-19 at Mothra. Mothra is a vent field located at Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Benthic and Resistivity Sensors. Benthic and Resistivity Sensors (BARS) collect measurements from hydrothermal vents, using sensors to measure resistivity, temperature, eH (oxidizing nature of seawater components) and hydrogen. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.

OceanEngUW BARS 01于2016年6月19日部署于Mothra热液喷口场。Mothra是坐落于恩德拉海岭（Endeavour Ridge）的一处喷口场，该区域可见热液喷口系统分布。该设备为底栖与电阻率传感器（Benthic and Resistivity Sensors, BARS），可依托内置传感单元对热液喷口开展观测，采集电阻率、温度、eH（海水组分的氧化特性）以及氢气相关数据。该设备部署于固定式平台之上。本次部署获取的数据集已完成归档，并通过加拿大海洋网络（Ocean Networks Canada）的Oceans 2.0数字基础设施对外共享；所有数据均遵循既定规范开展质量管控，并衍生出配套数据产品。
