The purpose of this study is to develop a liquefaction triggering model from results of cyclic laboratory tests that are published in the literature. The dataset presented here represents a range of specimen sampling and preparation methods (e.g., frozen, tube, reconstituted) and test types (direct simple shear, triaxial). Fines contents ranged from 0 to 25%, and all fines were nonplastic. Specimens were tested at effective consolidation stresses ranging from 10 to 1200 kPa. Measured cyclic resistance ratio, CRR, values were adjusted to a common effective consolidation stress, for differences in consolidation conditions in the laboratory relative to the field, and for multi-directional loading conditions. The resulting CRR values were used to develop adjustment factors to correct test data to equivalent CRRs corresponding to frozen sampling and DSS testing, and to develop a model for liquefaction triggering.
