This study collected 848 sets of observational data on the C:N, N:P, and C:P ratios of plants, soils, and microbial biomass in terrestrial ecosystems under both increased and decreased rainfall treatments. Using meta-analysis, we examined whether the responses of these C:N:P ratios to increased and decreased rainfall conform to the "dual asymmetry model".
