DVD quality video of the Contractile Vacuole Complex of Paramecium multimicronucleatum. In vitro CVC rounding/relaxing cycles. An in vitro CV in a ruptured Paramecium cell is surrounded by cytoplasmic vesicles and partially diluted cytoplasmic fluid. The CV periodically rounds and relaxes. One radial arm is visible which can swell as it is still able to accumulate fluid and it then fuses with the CV as the CV relaxes.

本数据集为多小核草履虫（Paramecium multimicronucleatum）伸缩泡复合体（Contractile Vacuole Complex，以下简称CVC）的DVD级高清视频，记录了体外环境下CVC的变圆-舒张周期过程。一枚存在于破裂草履虫细胞内的体外伸缩泡（Contractile Vacuole，以下简称CV）被胞质囊泡包裹，其周围的胞质液已被部分稀释。该CV会周期性地完成变圆与舒张活动。画面中可见一条放射臂（radial arm），该臂在仍可积聚液体时会发生膨大，随后随CV舒张而与CV发生融合。
