Atherosclerosis-driven Treg plasticity results in the formation of a dysfunctional subset of plastic IFN?+ Th1/Tregs.

Here, we used single cell RNA-seq to compare the transcriptomes of Tregs, Th1, and plastic Th1/Tregs co-isolated from atherosclerotic Apoe-/- mice. Overall design: 271 single T cell RNAseq libraries were generated from FACS sorted Apoe-/- splenic CD4+CD73+PD1+CD25+CCR5+ T cells via fluidigm C1, SMARTer, and NexteraXT reagents to compare gene expression between co-isolated Th1, Treg, and Th1/Treg cells.
