A dataset for two lysimeter experiments to determine the critical period for moisture stress in mungbeans. Data relates to water stress imposed during the vegetative, reproductive and pod-filling developmental phases of mungbean. Measurements included leaf area, pod number, seed number, pods per plant, water applied across the life of the experiment, root biomass, total pod yield and grain weight. Multiple mungbean cultivars were used in each experiment. Units of measurement are included at the top of each column.
